Take the A4 in the direction of Berlin/Görlitz to the Dresden-Nord junction, then turn onto the A13 in the direction of Berlin/Cottbus. Follow the motorway until the Spreewald junction and change there to the A15 in the direction of Forst/Cottbus. Take the Cottbus-Süd exit and turn left onto the B97 road. Go straight on until Stadtring (approx. 3.8 km) and turn right onto the B168 towards Guben. After approx. 1.4 km turn onto Gustav-Hermann-Straße/L49, from there follow the main road to the boundary of Cottbus and continue to the Branitz turn-off. Follow the Kastanienallee to the designated parking lot.

From Dresden main station take the train to Cottbus. When you arrive in Cottbus take the bus no. 10 (Pückler route) in front of the main entrance and get off at the stop »Branitz Schloss«.

The Pückler route (bus no. 10) starts at the main station and goes on a circular route via Branitz to numerous sights. All the important stops for tourists are specially marked with Pückler’s head.
With the Pückler ticket you can use the bus and tram in the Cottbus city area for one day and get discounts for various touristic highlights. The Pückler ticket can be purchased at the ticket machines and in the customer offices of Cottbusverkehr, on buses and trams, as well as from the CottbusService in the municipal hall and all ticket agencies. The price of the ticket is the same as for a day ticket from Cottbusverkehr and is only valid on the day of purchase.
Branitz Park and Palace are well linked to the city and regional cycle path network: The Prince Pückler Cycle Path, the Lower Lusatian Mining Tour and the Spree Cycle Path lead directly to Pückler’s Landscape Park.
Coming from the Spreewald, follow the Gurkenradweg (Cucumber cycle path) to the city centre of Cottbus. From there follow the signs to Branitz Park and Palace. Please use the designated bike stands in the park.
Five lockable bicycle garages as well as rental boxes at the car park Kastanienallee offer cyclists and other visitors the possibility to enjoy the Branitz Park and Museums without their luggage. Toilets and picnic areas are also available there.
